Participant CATS Transactions

This chapter describes participant CATS Customer Administration and Transfer Solution. A set of procedures, principles and obligations made under the National Electricity Rules as part of Market Settlement and Transfer Solutions (MSATS), and applicable to NMI (National Metering Identifier) small and large classifications. CATS allows participants to administer and transfer End-use Customer’s Connection Points and their NMI information between participants. Creating and updating information about NMIs involves 4 types of Transactions:

  1. Change requests

  2. Notifications

  3. Objections

  4. Request for data transfer

Messages containing aseXML transactions must not exceed 1 MB uncompressed for CATS, NMID, or MDMT.
